TRAINING IN NANOTECHNOLOGY – Scholarships

In trying to  achieve its mission of  promoting, supporting, coordinating  and regulating   the development and application of science, technology and innovation,  NCST under the witness of  COMESA signed an MOU with the Egypt’s’ Baghat Group of Companies in April, 2016.

The MOU intends to establish a platform of cooperation in the fields of research and development, innovation and technology specifically in the areas of Biotechnology, Nanotechnology, Household Appliance, Human Capacity Development, Exchange of Scientific Knowledge, Technology Development and Transfer among others.

Looking at the way Nanotechnology has improved and revolutionized the technology and industry sectors such as  information technology, energy, environmental science, medicine, food safety transportation among others, it is imperative that Malawi develops  human resource capacity in this field hence the Baghat Group in conjunction with NCST is offering scholarships to six best Malawian students to be trained in Egypt.

The Baghat’s Nanotechnology Materials-Hub advances safer and greener technology in all aspects of life through innovation, development and deployment of state of the art nano materials technology-processes and preparing new generations of well-trained scientists.
