SEEKING NOMINATION TO PARTICIPATE IN TRAINING WORKSHOP ON DEVELOPING TALENTS OF WOMEN IN SCIENCE, TECHNOLOGY AND INNOVATION (STI), 18 – 21 JULY 2016, KUALA LUMPUR, MALAYSIA
The International Science, Technology and Innovation Centre for South-South Cooperation under the auspices of UNESCO (ISTIC), have the honour to inform you that ISTIC will be organizing the Training Workshop on Developing Talents of Women in Science, Technology and Innovation (STI) from 18 – 21 July 2016, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
The training workshop has the following objectives:
To engage participants on developing their own strength and talents;
To enhance participants’ knowledge, skills and attitudes regarding the environment of the workplace; and
To enhance participant’s self-belief in their talents.
The workshop is organised in view of the need to develop the capacities of female scientists and technologists and equip them with the requisite knowledge, skills and attitudes that can promote them to be in positions of influence within the organisations. This is vital particularly for those who have the qualifications, talents and potential to become leaders and later be members of the boardroom.
In this regard, I shall be grateful of you can assist ISTIC in announcing and informing to those relevant Ministries and Organizations in your country to recommend a suitable candidate to participate in this training workshop. Online application is encouraged to expedite the process that can be accessed via Application Online. Application whether online or otherwise should reach ISTIC not later than 30 May 2016 (Monday).
The organiser will provide hotel accommodation and local hospitality for the duration of the training workshop to selected participants. The organiser will not provide travel grants to participants. All participants are expected to obtain travel grants from their organisations/governments.
