The Documentation Section is under the Directorate of Documentation and Information Services. The Section is responsible for managing science and technology information services and is headed by the Chief Documentation and Information Services Officer.

Functions

Promoting Documentation and Information Services

Documenting, consolidating and storing relevant Science, Technology and Innovation Information

Planning the development of S & T libraries, documentation and information management systems

Establishing and maintaining linkages with regional and international information networks dealing with documentation and information management

Facilitating the development and review of policies on Library, Documentation and Information Services

Coordinating the Acquisition and Sharing of Information/Knowledge Resources

Facilitating the establishment and management of STI information and knowledge systems
