Position title: Associate Professor of Soil Chemistry and Fertility.
Personal goals have been underpinned by a desire to serve the Malawi nation which has been achieved by my employment record and experience. Which include: From 01 August 2007 to present: Associate Professor (Soil Chemistry and Fertility), Bunda College of Agriculture, University of Malawi and Project Manager of a Postgraduate Training Programme sponsored by the Alliance for Green Revolution in Africa. From 1998 to 2007: Self-employed; and Consultant and Managing Director of Maida and Associates − a firm that involved Agricultural Scientists, Environmental Experts, Ecologists, Engineers, Project Managers, Policy-Makers and Social Scientists in consultancy work. Employed as a civil servant: From 1969 to 1998 served as a soil chemist. I have some Publications which include: Maida, J H A (2004).
