TWAS-DFG Cooperation Visit: deadline 31 March 2017

The TWAS-DFG Cooperation Visits Programme provides postdoctoral researchers who have obtained their PhD not earlier than 2012 and are from sub-Saharan Africa, including South Africa, with the opportunity to make a ‘Cooperation Visit’ to an institute in Germany. Please find attached the relevant application form. Such visits will have a duration of no more than three months and must be undertaken within 12 months of the award. NCST Attends Alliance for Science programme

The 12-week Global Leadership course took place at Cornell University in Ithaca New York. The Alliance for Science programme which is hosted in the University’s School of Agriculture and Life Sciences facilitated and financed this programme with assistance from The Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation. NCST under the facilitation of COMESA and the Malawi Investment and Trade Centre, signed an MOU with the Egypt’s’ Bahgat Group of Companies in April, 2016. The MOU intends to establish a platform of cooperation in the fields of research and development, innovation and technology specifically in the areas of Biotechnology, Nanotechnology, Household Appliance, Human Capacity Development, Exchange of Scientific Knowledge, Technology Development and Transfer among others.
