CALL FOR APPLICATIONS
The National Commission for Science and Technology (NCST) in collaboration with the African Union and Italy based World Academy of Sciences (TWAS) is pleased to announce the Call for Applications for the Young Scientist National Award.
The Award which is open to both male and female young researchers, is designed to recognize the scientific achievements of young researchers and to encourage them to continue to strive for excellence in their scientific career.
The 2016 Award will be given to two winners, one in each of the categories as detailed below:
The objectives of the award are:
Prize
Each winner will be awarded a cash prize of USD2000 and a Certificate.
Assessment
The National Commission for Science and Technology (NCST) manages the competition at national level by advertising, receiving applications and setting up a Scientific Jury that comprises members of the National Committee on Technology Transfer and Science Competitions (NCTT&SC) to assess, identify and recommend winners.

To be eligible for the award the scientist must satisfy the following criteria:

Applicants should complete the 2015 Nomination Forms, providing details of their achievements together with Curriculum Vitae and a list of publications in internationally recognized journals, as required on the nomination forms.
