NCST participates in the Feacal Sludge Treatment Research Site at the Polytechnic

The workshop was organized by the Polytechnic – Centre for Water, Sanitation, Health & Appropriate Technology Development (WASHTED) and Eawag – Sandec of Switzerland. NCST HIV/AIDS WORKSHOP HELD ON 30TH JUNE, 2017.

  HIV and AIDS continues to be a major concern in the workplace as it robs organizations of skilled and productive health workers through deaths and absenteeism due to prolonged illnesses. It affects the organizations’ productivity and development in Malawi. This prompted the National Commission for Science and Technology to develop an HIV/AIDS workplace Policy which aims at supporting and assisting staff members and their families that are affected or infected by HIV and AIDS. Launch of the Assessment of Solar Drying for Maize in Malawi, Zambia and Mozambique

The overall objective of this project is to assess the feasibility of solar drying technologies for reducing post-harvest losses in maize in Malawi, Zambia and Mozambique. It is envisaged that the project can lead to reduced grain losses; improved grain quality; and improved farmers’ resilience to the negative effects of climate change.
