2019 NCST HIV Workshop

In line with the HIV/AIDS workplace policy, every year National Commission for Science and Technology (NCST) holds HIV/AIDS awareness workshops for its staff members. This year, NCST collaborated with Lighthouse Trust in organising the training themed “You don’t have to be positive to think positive.” Held on the 14th June 2019, at Blue Zebra in Salima, the lively workshop aimed at improving awareness of employees in matters regarding HIV/AIDS, its impact, management and availability of Read more…

Researchers Awarded Dissertation Grants

The National Commission for Science and Technology (NCST) has awarded two Dissertation Grants to Mrs Jacqueline Kazembe and Mr Kent Mphepo. The two are getting grants to the tune of MK1.2 million and MK1 million respectively to help support their research work. Registrar General launches the National Intellectual Property Policy (2019-2023)

The Department of Registrar General on Friday 3rd May launched the long-awaited first ever National Intellectual Property (IP) Policy for Malawi at Bingu International Conference Centre (BICC) in Lilongwe. The Guest of Honour was the Honorable Minister of Justice and Constitutional Affairs, Mr Samuel Tembenu, SC. In his opening remarks, he expressed his delight to finally have the IP policy launched, signifying that the country indeed identifies the critical role of intellectual property (IP).
